In the Eliminator, Rohit and company batted first and posted a challenging total against Krunal Pandya’s men. MI reached 182/8 in 20 overs thanks to entertaining knocks from Suryakumar Yadav (33), Cameron Green (41), and Tilak Varma (26). In response, LSG was bowled out for 101 in 16.3 overs by pacer Madhwal, who destroyed Lucknow’s world-class batting lineup.

Ambanis: Madhwal took crucial Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran wickets in the same over to put MI in control. To match Anil Kumble’s massive IPL feat, the Uttarakhand pacer took five wickets and allowed only five runs. With the victory, Rohit’s MI have advanced to the IPL 2023 Qualifier 2.“ That is what we have done over the years. People don’t expect us to do what we have done, but we managed to,” Rohit said after the match.

“It’s great that things are going well right now. Our batting has been excellent. In terms of fielding, we had a pretty bad game last game. When you bowl second, all of the batters can contribute energy. Madhwal has been fantastic: we knew he was special when he arrived. Gujarat has the most talented team. “It’ll be a tough challenge, especially on their home turf,” Cameron Green said.
