In terms of Pakistan, the team recently defeated New Zealand in an ODI series played at home. The team is scheduled to play in the Asia Cup next, but the tournament’s fate is in the hands of the BCCI. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Pakistan, but the BCCI has refused to send a team there. The PCB has proposed a hybrid model for the tournament, in which the first leg is played in Pakistan with all teams playing once, and the second leg, involving India, is played at a neutral venue. The BCCI is expected to make a decision on the Asa Cup at their next SGM on May 27, but according to reports, the BCCI is likely to accept the proposal.
