What are ICC Team Rankings and how teams are ranked?

The ICC Team Ranking method is a ranking method which is developed by David Kendrix to rank all the international cricket teams in fair and unbiased order. This rating is worked out by dividing the points scored by the match/series total, with the answer given to the nearest whole number. Many factors such as batting average and bowling economy also affect the rankings. The M in the ratings denotes Matches played, P means Points got, and R is the rating.

Women’s ICC ODI Team Rankings

There is a total of 11 national teams that play women’s ODI cricket. The Australian women’s cricket team is ruling the ODI’s ranking with a rating of 121. Australia has 2,746 points in 17 matches. South Africa women’s cricket team is in 2nd position with a rating of 121. South Africa has a total of 2,307 points in 19 matches. India women’s cricket team is in the 4th position which is not much far from England. India has a rating of 112 and has a total of 1,899 points in 17 matches. Bangladesh women’s cricket team has played 5 matches as they are in the 5th position and they have a total of 475 points with a rating of  95.

Women’s ICC T20I Team Rankings

There is a total of 53 National teams that play Women T20I cricket. The Australia women’s cricket team is also on the top of the list of women’s T20I with a rating of 291 and they have a total of 5,824 points in 20 matches. England women’s cricket team has played 25 matches from which they have obtained  7,157 points with a rating of 286. India women’s cricket team is in 3rd position in the ranking of T20l women’s cricket. They have a total of 6,081 points in 23 matches with a rating of 264. New Zealand has a rating of 264 and has a total of 4,487 points in 17 matches. South Africa obtained 5th position with a rating of 252 and a total of 5,030 points in 20 matches.

Women’s ODI Batting Rankings

Lizellee Lee is from South Africa women’s cricket team and she is the first in the list of women’s ODI Batting Rankings with a rating of 761. Alyssa Healy is in second place on the list with a rating of 750. Mithali Raj and Smriti Mandhana are the Indians who are in a very good position in the top 10 list. Mithali Raj is in the 3rd spot with a rating of 738 and Smriti Mandhana is in the 6 the position with a rating of 710. Tammy Beaumont is in the 4th position with a rating of 728.

Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings

An Australian bowler, Jess Jonassen is leading the ranking of women’s bowling with a rating of 760. Jhulan Goswami is the only Indian bowler who is in the ranking of women’s bowling, she is in the second position with a rating of 727. Megan Schutt is a second player of Australia stands in the 3rd position with 717 as her rating. She is quite close to Marizanne Kapp of South Africa is in the 4th position with a rating of 715. There are 4 England’s bowlers in the list, Sophie Ecclestone is on the 5th spot with a rating of 701, Katherine Brunt, Anya Shrubsole, and Kate Cross are in 7th, 9^th, and 10th position.

Marizanne Kapp with a rating of 384 is on the top of the list. Natalie Sciver and Katherine Brunt are players of England are on the 2nd and 10th spot with a rating of 372 and 272. India’s player Deepti Sharma is in the 5th position with a rating of 299.

Women’s ICC T20I Batting Rankings

Beth Mooney is the Australian women’s cricket player who is leading the women’s T20I player ranking with a rating of 754. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana are Indian batters who are in the 2nd and 3rd position with a rating of 726 and 709. Two other players from Australia, Meg Lanning and Alyssa Healy with a rating of 698 and 673 are in 4th and 6th position.

Women’s ICC T20I Bowling Rankings

England’s main bowlers Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn stand in the 1st and 2nd position with a rating of 771 and 744. Shabnim Ismail is in the 3rd position with a rating of 718. Deepti Sharma of India is in the 5th position with a rating of 685. She is the only Indian bowler in the top 10 of ICC T20I Bowling Rankings.

Women’s ICC All Rounder Rankings

Sophie Devine is at the top of the list with a rating of 370. Natalie Sciver of England is in second place in All Rounder Rankings with a rating of 362. Kathryn Bryce is the only player in Scotland who is in 3rd position with a rating of 327. Deepti Sharma stands in the 4th spot with a rating of 315. Hayley Mathews and Stafanie Taylor are the two West Indies players who are in 5th and 6th position with a rating of 292 and 288.
