How players are ranked in the ICC Rankings?
Players are rated on a scale of 0 to 1000 points. Many factors affect their position in the order. The ICC Player Rankings is a table where international cricket players’ performances are ranked using a points-based system which is worked out by doing a series of calculations leading to a sophisticated moving average. If a player’s performance is improving on his record, his points increase. And if his performance is declining, his points will go down.
Test Batting Rankings
Marnus Labuschagne is on the top of the list with a rating of 924. The Australian batsman has played well in the Ashes as well as in the past series against India. Joe Root is in the 2nd spot with a rating of 881 followed by Kane Williamson and Steve Smith. Joe Root has been consistent in almost all the matches that he has played. And sometimes, it feels like he’s carrying the whole team. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the Indians that are in the top 10 of the list. They are in the 5th and 9th positions respectively.
Test Bowling Rankings
Australian bowler Pat Cummins leads the pack here with a rating of 895. He also has performed exceptionally in the past few series. Ravichandran Ashwin of India is in second place. The spinner has been amazing for the Indian team when it comes to bowling. He has a rating of 861. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami are in the 13th and 17th positions respectively. Kyle Jamieson is on the 3rd spot with 825 points.
Test All-rounder Rankings

Both have them have been the batting pillars for the Indian Cricket team. Ross Taylor on the 4th position is a type of batsman who is very important but never comes in the spotlight. He has a rating of 801.
And in the all-time Rankings, Viv Richards is on the top followed by Zaheer Abbas and Greg Chappell. India’s Virat Kohli is in the 6th position of the Rankings.

Jasprit Bumrah of India is in the 7th position with a rating of 679. He’s the only Indian bowler in the top 10 of ICC ODI Bowling Rankings. After him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is in the 17th position with a rating of 621.
Joel Garner of the Indies is on the top when it comes to the all-time Rankings. Followed by big names such as Richard Hadlee, Shaun Pollock, and Muttiah Muralidaran.

T20s is the youngest format that has been adopted by the International Cricket Council. A total number of 91 Nations are active in this format. Nations like Estonia, China, Finland, Cyprus, Argentina, and many other nations are also trying their hands in cricket by the format of T20.

David Malan is on the top, of the list of batters. He has an equal rating as Babar Azam. Both of them have a rating of 805. After them, Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan is in 3rd place with a rating of 798. KL Rahul of India is in 5th place with 729 as his rating.

In the all-time list, Pakistani pacer Umar Gul is in the 1st position. He has a rating of 857 points. Samual Badree and Daniel Vettori are in the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. And India’s Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah are in the 14th and 15th positions.
