With just 7 more races left in the 2022 season, the confirmations on the rider line ups for the 2023 season getting thick and fast. The latest being the confirmation of Enea Bastianini at the factory Ducati partnering Francesco Bagnaia. This meant Jorge Martin got confirmed for a 3rd season with the Prima Pramac Racing customer Ducati team.

Tech 3 Racing would be entering the 2023 championship as GAS GAS factory outfit – with GAS GAS being a sister brand to KTM. They would be continuing to use the KTM’s RC16 chassis with full factory support. They have confirmed Pol Espargaro (#44), who would be re-uniting with the RC16 developed under his support back in 2019-20.

Slots Left

LCR Honda – the 2nd seat would be mostly to the current Moto 2 championship leader, Ai Ogura, riding the Idemitsu liveried bike replacing the current Takaaki Nakagami.

Mooney VR46 Racing – Very much likely to confirm its current line up of #10 Luca Marini and #72 Marco Bezzecchi.

Repsol Honda – now with the confirmation of Pol Espargaro’s exit, it is almost a certainty that the remaining seat would go to the 2020 Moto Gp Champion, Joan Mir – making it a double world champion line up.

WithU RNF MotoGp – moving to the Aprilia RS-GP bikes for 2023 from Yamaha’s M1 for 2022. Yet to confirm their riders. At the moment, it is looking like #88 Miguel Oliveira and #25 Raul Fernandez from the KTM paddock to join the Aprilia paddock for 2023. Also, as said in our earlier thread on the subject, the current Aprilia reserve and test driver, #32 Lorenzo Savadori maybe in the running as well for the seat along with the team’s current rider #40 Darryn Binder.

Gas Gas – the newly formed outfit from the current Tech 3 Racing team. Pol Espargaro joined the project. The team to most probably retain their current rider and the reigning Moto 2 champion, #87 Remy Gardener. KTM’s efforts to retain the services of Miguel Oliveira have come to a halt as the rider signed a letter of intent with Aprilia to join the WithU RNF team.
